Preserving and Creating
2021 Best Practices in Historic Sites & Buildings, A Collection of Award-Winning Cases from the Management & Maintenance Evaluation
Commemorating its tenth anniversary in 2021, the management and maintenance evaluation program adopted 'Preserving and Creating' as its guiding theme. A key innovation was the implementation of a 'mystery shopper' evaluation system to complement conventional group assessments. After synthesizing findings from both approaches, the committee recognized 8 excellence cases and 9 selected cases. Featuring contributions from 17 management units and documentation of the evaluation process, this publication hopes that this publication will not only provide public understanding, but also serve as a model that motivates more people to engage in cultural heritage preservation and maintenance.
